The Coombe Labs

The National Screening Services (NSS) commissioned this project in conjunction with the Coombe Women’s & Infant University Hospital and HSE to develop an optimised pathology department and National Centre of Excellence for Screening Services located on the Coombe Hospital Campus. This project involved the construction of a new four storey laboratory building within the existing Coombe site with the provision of rooftop plant, re-alignment of the existing carpark together with associated site development works and services at the Coombe Women and Infants University Hospital, Cork Street, Dublin 8. The works were executed on a live Healthcare campus. Multiple Phases were required to deliver the works whilst maintaining high levels of patient, care, health & safety and dignity.
